Position: Sales and Marketing Lead

Design without Borders Uganda is looking for an organised and pro-active Ugandan or East African with experience in direct sales and communication, brand marketing, advertising, and project management
We are looking for a self-driven person, with the ability to work well in a team, someone who is reliable, willing to learn about design and is able to take responsibility for his/her tasks.
You must have a degree in Mass Communication or related fields
You should have good communication skills with good oral and written presentation skills
You must be well versed with digital and social media platforms
You should have good social skills, are hands-on, pragmatic, results-oriented, pro-active, accurate and flexible
You should have an eye for detail and an interest in aesthetics
You must be comfortable working with several graphic software (e.g. Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
You should be open to learning about design, design methods, tools and support communication design work
You must be fluent in English, written and spoken, with good negotiation and creative skills to market and sell
You must live in Uganda and have strong ties to the country
Fluency in Luganda, Swahili and other local languages is desirable
Essential duties and responsibilities
The identified candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:
Assisting the designers in regular communication of their work
Responsible for direct marketing and sales to new and existing customers
Work closely with Manager to help develop marketing strategies and sales tactics to meet their monthly targets
Collect and analyze sales data to track effectiveness and make improvements to drive better results
Help with organizing and executing of marketing activities such as events and promotional campaigns
Implement digital marketing campaigns, especially utilizing different social media platforms
Support the design and development of marketing materials and sales tools
Engage continuously with customers to obtain market feedback
Other tasks related to projects, partners and the office
